This jewelry box is a commissioned work made of Brazilian Cherry and Walnut. It measures approximately 12"L x 7"D x 6"H. The tray sides are maple and walnut is used for the handle and dividers. I made the Yin-Yang (requested) inlay with walnut and maple. Yin-Yang is a Chinese symbol for Balance. The removable tray and the lower compartment are both lined with velvet. The tray is approximately 1 inch high and the lower compartment is 1 3/8 inches deep. The finish is a custom blend stain I mixed and 6 coats of shellac.
